    CHOOSE A GRADE

    VITRIC

This stone is taken from the upper layers of the quarry. It is varied in texture, and is characterised by unique inclusions of hard pumice and fragments of metal and basalt, The natural colour varies from cream/grey to buff, and when Kiln Fired, from pale terracotta to a rich Golden Brown.

    STATUARY

This grade of stone is taken from deeper in the quarry. While it is clear of pumice, it features natural mineral veining and iron markings, showcasing the uniqueness of natural volcanic stone. The natural colour is fawn to cream/grey, and when Kiln Fired, from pale terracotta to a rich golden brown.

    CHOOSE A COLOUR

    KILN FIRED / NATURAL

Kiln Firing is when the stone is baked up to 700 degress and turns the natural colour of the stone into terracotta or golden brown tones, and highlights the natural markings and veining in the stone.

    LANDSCAPING & PAVING

Hinuera Natural Stone paving is an attractive durable paving material suitable for floors, terraces, entrance ways, feature walls, pool surroundings and steps. Hinuera Natural Stone paving is ideal for pool areas and patios as it offers excellent slip resistance and does not become hot under direct sunlight. We recommend that Hinuera Natural Stone paving only be laid over concrete areas.

    DURA

This stone is quarried from the middle of the stone cliffs. It is similar in appearance to Vitric, but is a more dense seam of stone more suited to heavy traffic. The deposits of hard pumice in Dura are also smaller than in Vitric grade. As such, it is commonly the preferred choice for paving and custom work such as fireplaces.

    STATUARY

This grade is clearer in appearance than Dura, but contains natural mineral veining (akin to water marks) and iron deposits, still showcasing the beauty of a natural volcanic stone

    COLOURS: NATURAL OR KILN FIRED
